Company News

In March 2017, B2B Corporate made the move to The Big House, Burslem, S-o-T.

Standing majestically in the centre of Burlem town, B2B have settled nicely into their new surroundings.

Spanning over 3 floors the ground floor is home to the directors.  Heading straight up to the first floor we hit the area where all the magic happens……….the kitchen….. ;-)  and more importantly than that….The Sales Room where our highly skilled and  professional sales executives work at providing the very best customer experience offering the latest network deals and handset options to compliment  them, whilst keeping tariff costings competitive.

Winding your way up to the second floor you begin to hear the hive of activity before you even enter the door of the Administration Team.  The team work tirelessly at dealing with any customer service queries, liaise with the network and support the sales team to name but a few of the tasks.

Also on the second floor are home to a grand boardroom and two further offices, one for lead generation and one used by directors for interview.

The building offers the right environment and location for the business to continue to grow and establish a greater local presence within Stoke on Trent.

We look forward to being able to open the doors next spring and invite you all to The Big House to meet the team.

History of The Big House

The Big House in Burslem is a Grade II * listed building situated in a conservation area. Constructed in the mid-18th century by the Wedgewood family, 'The Big House' possesses a wealth of character and prestige.

If Burslem can be said to have a first family then that role was fulfilled in the 18th century by the Wedgwood family.

In the middle of the 18th century it was the Wedgwood's of the Red Lion Estate who made the most significant contribution to the development of the pottery industry in the area. The brothers Thomas Wedgwood (1703-76) and John Wedgwood (1705-80) took possession of their father's Potworks adjoining the Red Lion Inn in 1743. The Big Houses’ relationship to its surrounding buildings has completely changed in the last 250 years. When it was erected it stood at the front of an extensive factory all of which since been demolished.

The factory entrance was immediately by the side of the Big House where movement to and from the works could be readily observed by the owners. The house was separated from the road by a wall which enclosed a garden on two sides of the house.

Although the town  has changed considerably since The Big House was first built, it still has a grand appearance in  the heart of Burslem steeped with character and some even say a ghost named Emily (but that’s a story or another time).
